WHY I ENJOYED DARK SOULS 3 MORE THAN BLOODBORNE.

                               WARNING-The following article contains spoilers.
As you guys already know Bloodborne was personally my favorite title last year(my last article was all about it) which made Dark souls 3 my most anticipated for this one. Due to some financial problems however I got the game after a month of its release.I put the disk into my PlayStation 4 ,build up my mercenary character and started my journey as an unkindled one  with various thoughts lurking in my head, telling me to be prepared for the unforgiving brutality I am gonna experience.    Shockingly though none of that happened. I got past the first few areas, killing all the bosses on my first attempt. I was done for the day and before switching off I checked my stats screen. It showed " Shrey-level 42, 5:18:41." It took me 9 hours to get past the first two bosses in Bloodborne and here I was approximately half way through Dark souls 3 which was supposed to be the toughest one in the series. I was overly confident about my skills till then and was for sure getting a little bored because it all felt so damm easy relative to all other souls game and Bloodborne, when I entered the arena where the 'Abby's watcher' one of the 5 lord of cinders was waiting for me.
I was like-gonna take this son of a bitch down on my first attempt. Well I got screwed.I tried one, twice, thrice but all in vain.. The frustration started building. That desperate feeling which I was very well aware of could be felt again. If it was Bloodborne,I would have raged quite it and cursed the game for being too unfair. But not now.I wanted to feel this pain. Hell I missed it.I was hating as well loving the moment when it showed in big red letters-"YOU DIED".And I smiled. The next time I tried though I took him out and I was satisfied. It was maybe tougher than few of the bosses in Bloodborne but I was not frustrated unlike in Bloodborne where every boss battle was a pain in the ass and I died more times than I should have not because I was not capable enough but because this had been happening over and over again. You see Bloodborne didn't had this diversified nature which Dark souls 3 have. Here I never felt fatigued or tired because of the way the game handled itself. The beginning was a bit(only a bit) easier than the other games from this developer which helped me settle in its world easily. And once I learned the trick, they threw me the big shots which I was happy to accept as a challenge. Until the very end this very thing continued.. Back and forth from being a relief at times and than being a pain in the ass unlike Bloodborne which was unforgiving at the beginning (like it was taking some kind of revenge) and easy at the end(don't know why).
Sure Bloodborne is a Gothic masterpiece and its boss battles are one of a kind which I'll remember in the years to come. But the small encounters in Dark souls 3(especially battling the knights was too much fun),NPC's encounter, few of the boss battles and this uniform nature throughout is From software's biggest achievement. It shows how much they have proggesed in the series making every new title better than the last.Surely there is not going to be a souls/Bloodborne game in the next few years,But whatever From software's team is upto, this time I am gonna preorder it for sure.
